IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Introduction – Technology

Technology

  1. Do you frequently use computers or cellphones for technology?
I typically use a computer instead of a cellphone for most tasks. I find the small screen of cellphones strains my eyes.
  2. What electronic devices have you recently purchased?
Recently, my parents gifted me a smart TV as a reward for achieving excellent grades in the 12th standard. I utilize it for streaming TV series and movies.
  3. Is there any technology you aspire to acquire?
Yes, I aspire to own an iPhone. Many friends claim that once I use it, I won’t be able to go back to using other phones. I am determined to prove them wrong.
  4. Is technology a significant aspect of your life?
Certainly, technology plays a major role in my life. I believe I cannot survive without it, as every aspect of my daily routine, from waking up to sleeping, is intertwined with technology. For instance, I use technology for alarms, heating water, cooking, and more.
  5. Is there any technology you dislike?
There are moments when I dislike technology, such as when friends get engrossed in their mobile screens instead of spending time together. However, there isn’t any specific technology that I hate. Some technologies are less useful to me than others, while some I find more beneficial.
  6. What do you perceive as the current trends in technology compared to your younger years?
I believe the primary trend is the rapid pace of technological change. Previously, new technologies took time to emerge, but nowadays, there is a new update or advancement almost every year.
