IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Introduction – New Activities

New Activities

  1. Do you have a fondness for attempting new activities? Why?
Certainly, I enjoy engaging in new activities. Being an adventurous individual, I have a penchant for trying out new things. Two years ago, I experienced parasailing for the first time in Goa. Initially, there was a bit of nervousness, but the exhilaration set in after the first few minutes.
  2. Which activities are you interested in trying?
My interest lies in water-related activities, and I aspire to try surfing and scuba diving at some point. Observing these activities on television has fueled my excitement as they seem incredibly fun and thrilling.
  3. What activities were part of your childhood pursuits?
During my childhood, I actively participated in cricket and football. Despite my desire to learn swimming, the absence of swimming pools in our town prevented me from doing so at that time. I eventually learned swimming during my high school years.
  4. Do you prefer trying new activities alone or with friends?
I prefer engaging in new activities with friends. I believe everything becomes more enjoyable in a group setting. Fortunately, I have adventurous friends who, like me, are keen on trying new activities, and we motivate each other to explore and take on new challenges.
