IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Introduction – Shoes

Shoes

  1. Do you have an affinity for purchasing shoes, and how frequently?
Yes, I enjoy buying shoes, and the frequency depends on the type. I acquire running shoes annually, dress shoes every 2-3 years, and regular everyday shoes 1-2 times a year, influenced by budget considerations and the availability of sales or discounts.
  2. Have you ever made an online shoe purchase?
Certainly, I have engaged in online shoe shopping, although my preference lies in buying shoes in-store. Online purchases can be challenging due to potential sizing discrepancies, but many companies provide favorable exchange policies for such situations.
  3. What is your typical expenditure on shoes?
I typically spend between 2000-3000Rs on shoes. I wait for opportune sales before making a purchase, as many companies significantly reduce prices during such events, which is when I prefer to buy.
  4. Do you lean towards fashionable or comfortable shoes?
I lean towards comfortable shoes. While I have purchased fashionable shoes in the past, I found that they often cause discomfort after 1-2 hours of wear. There are shoes like sneakers that strike a balance between comfort and fashion.
