IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Introduction – Holidays

Holidays

  1. Where did you spend your last holiday?
I visited Goa for my last holiday in February 2020. It was a highly memorable trip centered around my cousin’s destination wedding. After the wedding, we extended our stay for four days, exploring the beaches, engaging in water sports, enjoying cruises and casinos, and visiting old Goa with its picturesque churches displaying Portuguese architecture.
  2. Do you have a fondness for holidays? Why?
I appreciate holidays as they offer a chance to relax and take a break from my demanding job. Spending quality time with family and friends during holidays is rejuvenating, and I find that I return from vacations feeling refreshed, leading to increased productivity.
  3. Which public holiday holds a special place for you?
My preferred public holiday is Diwali, the festival of lights. I cherish lighting up our house, indulging in delicious sweets, meeting friends and relatives, and savoring the lively atmosphere. The beautiful view of houses and shops adorned with lights adds to the festive spirit.
  4. How do you typically spend your holidays?
During holidays, I usually indulge in travel. I enjoy exploring new destinations, sampling diverse cuisines, and immersing myself in the traditions and cultures of different places.
