IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Introduction – Car Trip

Car Trip

  1. Do you enjoy traveling by car?
Yes, I enjoy traveling by car, finding it convenient and time-saving compared to taking the bus. Although I also own a scooter, I prefer using the car, especially on hot summer days.
  2. When do you opt for car travel?
I prefer traveling by car when heading to places within my town or nearby cities (2-3 hours away). For longer journeys, I favor taking the train over the car, as many roads in various parts of my country are in poor condition, making long car trips unsafe and uncomfortable.
  3. What is the farthest destination you have reached by car?
The farthest place I have traveled by car is Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was a spontaneous trip due to my grandfather falling very ill, and with no available train tickets, my father and I took turns driving, reaching our destination in about 12 hours.
  4. Where do you like to sit when traveling by car, the front or back?
I prefer sitting in the front row, either driving the car or in the passenger seat. The front seat offers a better view, and even when I’m not driving, I like to keep an eye on traffic. Being in the front gives me a sense of control.
