IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Introduction – Housework and Cooking

Housework and Cooking

  1. Are you currently involved in cooking or assisting your family with cooking at home?
While my culinary abilities are limited, I do prepare evening tea, cut vegetables for the salad like cucumber and radish, and take care of washing the utensils.
  2. How would you describe the cleanliness of your home?
I wouldn’t categorize it as spotless, but it’s not untidy either. I make an effort to maintain cleanliness, although the occasional mess does occur.
  3. Did you engage in house cleaning during your youth?
Certainly, during my younger years, I dedicated more time to house cleaning, benefitting from additional free time.
  4. Is having breakfast at home a daily practice for you?
Due to my tendency to rise late, preparing breakfast in the morning is usually not feasible. However, before leaving home, I typically have something like fruits, breakfast cereals, or boiled eggs.
  5. Do you aspire to acquire proficient cooking skills?
My desire to learn cooking is primarily for survival purposes. I don’t envision becoming an expert, but I aim for my cooking to be palatable.
  6. What household chores do you enjoy or dislike?
A chore I genuinely appreciate is feeding and taking our dogs for a walk. They are integral to our lives, and I cherish the time spent with them.
